The Temptation Wall

In life we don't get to choose who our parents are or what environment we grow up in. you have to work with what you got and turn it into something great. Take a moment to think are you satisfied with your life so far?

Kurisha Anntanika Marie O’roy was born July 21, 1996 in Sacramento, CA in Cambridge Apartments. I asked “How does it make you feel being born in apartment? She replied, “ Like I should've been born in hospital like everyone else.” Does this affect your relationship with your parents? “No but the relationship with my mom yes!” I then asked, “ What is your relationship with your mom like?” She answered “not good because she likes to be a gold digger.” Lastly I asked, “How was growing up?” Elementary was good and middle school was good. I was staying with my grandma untill freshman year I moved with my mom and started highlands high started. I was ratchet and got kicked out of school. I moved backed with grandma because mom kicked me out over boyfriend because he said I had snuck out.” She then moved back in with her grandmother and started C.K. MCclatchy High School. She was doing good but was skipping class often. This was brought to her grandparents attention and they were also furious from her curfew breaking. Her step dad witch is her older brother and sister biological father picked her up and she started living with him. “I started Natomas High School ans was in 10th grade. I was doing good but got in trouble sometimes. My mom called everyday to wish me good morning and good day at school. She would sometimes cry making me sad. A couple days passed and my mom called again. I started to not get my way with my stepdad and he wanted to me to completely stop talking to my mom.” She refused and packed all of her stuff. Her mother came to get her and by this age she was 15. One day she was wandering through her neighborhood. And a close friend Introduced her to a guy named Maurice Deville. She meet him he next day they became boyfriend and girlfriend. This was June 17, 2012. His mom moved her in because a month later she found out she was pregnant. Her pregnancy was good and he had Kurrice Emery Aujae Deville on January 18, 2013 and she was 16 years old. By this time Maurice had became very abusive. I asked “ How was being a parent for the first time. She stated, “parenting was cool but the crying was hard.” Her and Maurice then broke up because ,” It wasn't exciting anymore and he keep cheating.” She then when back to live with her grandmother. She wasn't eating, was depressed, and lost weight. A couple days later she went back home with Maurice, and he moved his ex girlfriend next door. “ Maurice went away for a couple days and she tried to have sex with me!” said Kurrisha. When Maurice returned he forgot her birthday and left her in the house with their firstborn. She then move back in with her grandmother for a few days and went back home. “We tried to have another baby but couldn't because of birth control shot. It wouldn't happen for 6 months.” said Kurisha. Finally January 17, 2014 she found out she was pregnant the day before her sons birthday. They rebuilt their relationship and stay together. “ Things were good we got a car and own place but we kept fighting through my pregnancy then finally september 12, 2014 came!” She had Maurice Pierre Deville Jr and stayed in the hospital for 3 days own her own. By this time she was 17 years old. “ I went home we kept fighting for a couple months i got sick and left this time I was through because I couldn't take it anymore. I left and started wildin out not caring.” sadly said Kurisha. They both got new partner, but she wanted her kids father. “ He still came around a lot spend days with me and his kids but going back with his girlfriend, so I got new relationships with multiple people.” She finally got her own 2 bedroom apartment, and is now 18. Her kids father helped her move and and he said “ Kurisha I”m proud of you” “it made me feel good because it came from him and he never has said anything like that and this time i knew foresure he wasn't lying” Her 19th birthday came around and she got a car. She has been living alone handling her motherly duties then September 14, 2015 she got an unexpected call Her kids father had been hit by a car. Which was two days after their youngest 1st birthday. “ I had mixed emotions!” she said he suffered a broken neck and leg. And doctors had to reduce pressure from his brain. As of today is is in a hospital in Stockton, Ca and had not seen his kids in 5 months. He can hear and move his arm, and is improving. She then had to end the interview to meet her kids needs. Lastly she said, “I want my kids to know to go to school be good and have future goals. I want girl like me to know to change your ways before it too late.”
